Splash Pad Update as of 5/21/26 

Unfortunately, the Splash Pad at Tappahannock Central Park will need to close again temporarily due to an unexpected issue with one of the Town’s wells. At this time, the excess water usage cannot be sustained while repairs are being addressed.

We understand the timing is very unfortunate, especially heading into the holiday weekend, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. This was an unforeseen issue, and our staff are working diligently to resolve it as quickly as possible.

At this time, we anticipate the closure will only last a few days to a week before the Splash Pad can safely reopen.

We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding, and support while we work through this matter. We will continue to provide updates and look forward to reopening the Splash Pad as soon as possible. 💦
