NOTICE

 In conformity with Section 15.2-2204 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended, Notice is hereby given that the Tappahannock Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on:

September 2, 2026

7:00 p.m.

At the Tappahannock Municipal Building located at 915 Church Lane, Tappahannock, Virginia to consider the following item.

An application from Ross-Simpson Properties, LLC is requesting to install new windows and permit previously installed stairs to the Essex Inn, a structure of significance within the Town of Tappahannock’s Historic Overlay Zone. The property is known as tax parcel 32B (14) F 1, 203 Duke St.

Said application has been submitted as per Section 22-238 through Section 22-241 of the Tappahannock Zoning Ordinance.

Copies of the above request may be reviewed at the Tappahannock Municipal Building (Town Office) 915 Church Lane, Tappahannock, Virginia, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and interested parties may appear before the Tappahannock Planning Commission to express their opinions regarding the proposed application.
